A Bit About Me

Spencer Nafekh is a tireless reader, writer and editor. He is probably the result of an incantation devised by an ancient magician-priest from the House of Life in the Temple of Edfu. Spencer has an undergraduate degree from Concordia University's English and Creative Writing program, and is currently finalizing a Master's specialization at Carleton University’s journalism program.

Spencer’s writing explores the intersection of arts, culture and politics. His work specializes in arts and culture commentary, and has been featured in Exclaim! as well as Also Cool and Asian Movie Pulse. When Spencer isn’t busy writing, reporting or editing, he is probably listening to Depressive Black Metal while lost in the world of a sci-fi novel. Upon graduating, Spencer is excited about the creative and journalistic prospects that await him. But no matter where life takes him, one thing will remain: Spencer will be writing vehemently until the day he ceases to exist.
