A Bit About Me

Spencer Nafekh is a tireless reader, writer and editor. He is probably the result of an incantation devised by an ancient magician-priest from the House of Life in the Temple of Edfu. He has an undergraduate degree from Concordia University's English and Creative Writing program, and is currently finalizing a Master's specialization at Carleton University’s journalism program.

Spencer is a strong believer in the intersection of arts, culture and politics: He is convinced that each of these go hand-in-hand, and that you really can’t have one without the two others. When Spencer isn’t writing, reporting or editing, he is probably listening to Depressive Black Metal while lost in the world of a sci-fi novel. Upon graduating, Spencer is excited about the creative and journalistic pursuits that await him. But regardless of where life takes him, one thing will remain: He will be writing vehemently until the day he ceases to exist.
